Hello Friends,

My name is Laminda Fender-Jerrils. I have been a graphic designer/Technical Writer for more than 20 years. I drew my first sign design when I was 14 for a local restaurant, so if I m being honest it's longer than 20 years. I have four kids that have all grown up and have 2 grandchildren. I decided to go back to college to update my skills in my mid 40's. That took guts some have said, but really I just showed up in the arena and planted myself there. 

Theodore Roosevelt stated: "It is not the critic who counts, It is not the man who points out where the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done it differently the credit belongs to the one who is actually in the arena whose face is marred with dust and sweat and blood who strives valiantly, who errs, who comes up short again and again and again and who in the end while he may know the triumph of high achievement at least when he fails he does so daring greatly."

I chose to show up and dare to bring my best and see if someone likes it. Tomorrow, I will be showing up and daring to be greater than yesterday.

My artistic philosophy: " The only reason to create is to find your joy. It is what you create that can show you who you are."  Put your heart into everything you do. If you purchase one of my creations you will have a piece of my heart.

I have worked in interior design, photography, painting, commission work, contract work, print, vinyl graphics, and sign making. I decided to embark on opening my own design work in addition to the logo and business packages I create for small businesses and have started a new venture in jewelry design. I create the designs and send them to my laser cutter then hand-paint some of the designs. I plan to add some paintings and other wood products for the home in the near future.
